We also are the weakest offense with lowest ball possession right? I heard commentators mentioning that our possession numbers are some of the worst and second only to 2014? Goals...are we the only team with no goal scorer in the lineup?

Who gives a toss about possession, iran has played very well. Much better than spain in the last game irrespective of poseession or passes or what ever stats you want to quote.

I am openly and vocally supporting iran here and how many neutral supporters have called, emailed and pulled me up to say how unlucky iran was and how they played better than spain. Many said iran have been their surprise of the tournament so far. So all i say, boys keep up the good work and continue as you are.

So explain to me how Russia had only 38% possession against Saudi Arabia and still won 5 - nill. There, figure that. Possession in itself means nothing.
