The draw is in 5 days and Iran has been placed in pot 2 so we will avoid euro champs Spain and England.

With the absence of five-time champions Nigeria, Mexico remain the most prolific team from the past five Under-17 World Cups, while Brazil and Germany are also among the foremost performers. Mali’s run to the final of the Under-17 World Cup in Chile in 2015 means they are the only African team to be placed in Pot 1.The rest of the pots are populated gradually with teams placed into ascending pot numbers based on descending number of points obtained in the past World Cups.The four pots will be as follows:

anyways , from this team Taha Shariati ( Centre Back) , Mohammad Sharifi ( CM and Captain?) , and Yones Delfi ( Forward) are the stars. All have had offers from Europe recently, and as we saw with Ezatolahi, this tournament will be their chance to get a move to europe. Personally, I think Sharifi will have a great career in europe and in TM. He is an incredible talent with excellent technique in dribbling, great at finishing, strong physique, and able to get up and down the pitch. He can play box to box or as a CAM and is really a perfect midfielder. Huge hopes for Shariati as well who is a centre back who is very comfortable on the ball.

Germany Costa Rica and guienna had all finished 3rd in their confederations with Germany and guienna both going undefeated and only losing in pks to eventual champions . Both very tough teams Costa Rica should be our easiest game but at this age category we always make it out of the group and I expect the same this time around.

This is the world cup you always have the best teams of the confederations. There is no such thing like an easy group...when you say third in their confederation than we must be happy not to be drawn to 1 and 2

the group is extremeley similar to u20's a group. A Euro giant ( Germany, portugal) , a good unknown african team ( Zambia, Guinea), and Costa Rica. The performance that will need to be addressed is the one against the African team. Lets hope Chamanian can get the players ready physically. U17's have had really good preparation with many camps, and two big tournaments ( Granatkin Memorial, and Panda Cup). In both of these tournaments they played teams older than themselves by 1-2 years. This is great preparation for playing more physical teams ( Guinea )
