    Padideh @ 2017-18 Season

I am a Persepolis fan and have been since my teens. Back then I also supported my local team Payam Mashhad. Now that many years has passed since Payam and Abumoslem's closures, nothing exciting happened in Mashhad's football until this year.

Imam Reza Stadium has been completed and hopefully will become the homeground for Padideh FC. For the upcoming season the squad looks very solid with the presence of some former Team Melli players:

    - 2014 World Cup Squad members local boy Reza Haghighi and newcomer Mohammad Reza Khanzadeh.
    - 2014 World Cup Qualification stage Team Melli players Mohammad Ghazi, Shahab Gordan and Mohammad Reza Khalatbari.
    - Armenia national team player Varazdat Haroyan

I hope it will be a good season for Padideh and Football fans from Mashhad.

It will be exciting for me to watch Persepolis vs Padideh FC hopefully live on the internet without buffering. I can't wait until that day
Also would be nice to see Padideh take on all the big guns Esteghlal, Sepahan, Zobahan, Traktor.

Moein Abbasian was their best player last season. Will be interesting to see what they can do with those signings

Moein Abbasian is not a big name, having looked at his profile I can see that he is a former Abumoslem player, does he any potential as becoming star in Iranian football?

He's not a big name and no I don't think he will become a "star", however he's a key player for Padideh, and a dangerous tricky technical winger. His potential is maximum maybe rotation player for an average ACL side, maybe like Naft/Foolad/ZA.

He's going to be much more important for the team than ex-TM players like Reza Haghighi, Khanzadeh etc.. and especially with a declining KB.

My parents are from Mashhad, so I always support Mashhad teams like Padideh, especially now that Abumoslem and Payam have died out

Just a question for our Mashhadi fans: so is the name of the club still Siah Jamegan or did it get changed to FC Mashhad?

I know the head coach of Padide's son. Good friend of mine.. Mohajeri is a great coach and with that squad he will qualify the team for champions league for sure.

Varazdat Haroyan has transfered to FC Ural Yekaterinburg. I hope Padideh will find some decent foreign player for this season.

Has Khalatbari played for the entire league within the last year?

Not sure if it was a free transfer or paid transfer. Anyways not many foreign players stayed in Mashhad for few seasons, mostly just like Haroyan stayed a season then left the city. In fact only foreigners who stayed in the city for more than one season or returned after some years away have been Daniel Olerum, Ivan Petrović, Franck Atsou, Shpejtim Arifi and Milan Jovanović. The last one played for Padideh.
