It is hard to score against CQ's team .

What is the best strategy to play among the Asian teams ?....the world of football is unpredictable..and at any time ,any team can score,...or turn a free kick to a score...there teams in Asia, with different phylosophies, different speed, different style, and different level of technical and tactical plans....
so,what and how could TM be consistant ?.....
CQ,deffense has been tested by big teams, and not so big teams...and appears it follows something very solid and foundemental.
I do n't believe, there any other team in Asia , ( or even in the world ),that has been scored upon less than TM in the last two years.
while,TM offense has been consistantly getting better....but,a solid deffense, that has been tested, appears to be great back ground for our offense...and a right strategy.

the goal differential...speaks volume..that means...it appears, that CQ team, always scores more than it is scored upon.

Our defense is shaky and yesterday's game showed that, it'll take a better team than Qatar to exploit it though.

Our CB's are rock solid it's just our LB and RB that have problems.

One more push by Qataris and our defense line could crack open. How? by another escape down our left or right side defense by Qataris considering Montazeri was sitting on his yellow card. Our CBs are great and could cover LB and RB positions as well yesterday but a team like South Korea or perhaps Uzbekistan can exploit that weakness. If we play against Uzbeks or Koreans we should make sure to not play HajiSafi as our LB and Rezaian as our RB because their defensive attributions are at minimum and they leave a huge cap at our defense line when they rush to opponent goals (ideal for counter attacks).

i think team melli will be just fine, lack of friendlies have been our weakpoint. it always has been in the last 5 year. the more we play the more we gel together and play better and fast paced controllable football. i think we MIGHT see a little change in the defensive

what i predict is that we will see the defensive lineup as rezaian in his usual place RB, while we will have hosseini, pouraliganji, and montazeri as our left back. i dont think CQ will put milad mohammadi in first. if we get to score 2 goals i think he will use the rest of the time to place milad mohammadi on the pitch instead of rezaian and montazeri on RB and milad LB.

We need Friendlies and we need STRONG friendlies, at least 4 per year. no more no less. everything else is Ok for now

TMs problem for the last 5 years has been the lack of a playmaker, someone who can give through balls and feed our forwards through the center. Our attack has been very one dimensional since the majority comes from the wings.

Our defense is very solid. If there was just that ONE thing that I can praise without any doubt, is what Carlos did with our defense. It is incredible how resilient our team is defensively. We have without a doub the best defense in Asia. Now I can go in depth and bring up statistics as to why our defense ranks #1 in my book, but I think this is something we can all agree on.

Kudos to Carlos and his coaching staff for doing such a fantastic job with our team's defense.

hosseini and montazeri are rocks at the back with a wealth of experience to call upon. They are what gets you into WC. They need young defenders with pace beside them to balance it all out. Milad mohammadi and Vouria Ghafouri must start from now on. Even tho I know CQ has a little bit of a Ramin fetish

It's very easy to defend well for any team if you are defending with 11 men! Let Mayeli Kohan's team to park the bus with central defenders like Rahman Rezaei and Aghili and it would be very difficult to score against them too!

The important thing for a good team is that you are able to attack well and score goals at the same time that you can defend well.

We have still a long way to go to even put more than 2 och 3 nice and clean passes together, with or without CQ!

That's because TM lacks a true playmaker.

weew someone said it already but there it is.

I think Masoud might be able to do the job but not in a 4-2-3-1, maybe a 4-3-3. Dunno about Shojaeian but CQ ranks Dejagah over him atm. It's an interesting dilemma

Very good point. We barely concede. And whenever we are in a situation that we don't have to score but our opponent has to, they have almost a zero chance to get anything out if the game.

It is true we are not creating many chances ourselves either, but almost in every game we get a couple and use at least one.

As said, we might be one of the best defensive teams in the world combined with great individual class upfront that still keeps us dangerous.
