Nekunam's upfront interview about SS and QN

Finally Neku has a tell all interview regarding his experience with SS and QN. He talks about the coaches and how the Persian Football Mafia controls the team and the players. Very damaging for SS and Qalenoie. He even says how they tried to undermine TM players and go after CQ's position

SS officials will probably file a formal complaint against him as they claim. Dame Javad garm.

Good. My dad saw Ghalenoi at a wedding in Iran a while back, and said the guy is a peice of shit regime ass kisser.

IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

Another sad tragedy that PAS does not exist anymore.

Nekounam said time and time again that he wanted to play for PAS and not Esteghlal.

He deserves to end his career where he wanted.

Thanks for putting the right link up rugs.

we have always heard about QN and his coaching style, but you always think most of it exaggerated. But the amount of details Neku points out after 1 1/2 seasons with the club is amazing. People deciding who is it the line up or not based on using their cars or buying the phone sim cards. They way SS and QN ruined the younger players as he witnessed the on going treatment of QN.

Many things are brought up and become apparent in this interview.

                1. Nekunam was told from day one he joined SS that he better find a strong group to befriend or else he will have a difficult time at SS. Basically become friends with the dallals that GN controls.

                2. GN takes money from the players, especially the younger ones in exchange for playing time. These rumors have existed for a long time. Farzad Hatami is a good example. He travelled with GN from team to team and it was rumored that his family paid GN a large sum of $$ to play his son. The rumors also existed for Mousavi and their striker last season, i forget his name.

                3. GN knows nothing about being a manager and SS training sessions are a joke. GN rarely shows up to training.

                4. GN and Esteghlal did their best to destroy TM players so CQ fails and they take over TM. (same thing they did with Uhlsport and Majid)

                5. GN asked players for help in trying to figure out how to beat South Korea in the Asian Cup when he was the manager. One of the elder players refused to take part calling it ridiculous.

                6. GN celebrated SS's 2-3 loss to PP because it benefited his futre plans at SS.

                7. GN has journalist in his pocket and they write what he wants them to write.

                8. Neku says he could've easily joined GN's group but from day one he couldn't stand the lies, thievery and injustice.

                10. GN and his crew would get upset when TM would win because it didn't benefit them.

                11. GN is the only manager that names and blames players for losses. He is never at fault.

                12. All the lies written about Nekounam leaving SS for Al-Kuwait because of $$ turned out to be untrue. GN didn't want him in the team.

Can't wait for the next Navad and to see what crap GN will do in return.

                  - I am wondering IF GN did not want Neko and let him go then why Neko wanted to comeback to SS again?

-If atmosphere is so bad at SS why did Neko wanted to be a part of it again?

                  - To many of us here it is clear that QN is a useless lat but yet a so called intellectual Neko keep coming back wanting to work under him. I don't get it? It can't just be love for SS. Like a bird in a cage and that is not smart!

                  - It is true that when Neko played for SS he came out and said all kinds of good stuff about QN, but things changed suddenly because QN did not want Neko anymore.

                  - I am confused and did not expect this from professional Neko. A professional player if feels uncomfortable in a club he will just leave. and that is the end of it.

                  - By his interview, Neko made a club that he supposedly love look really bad.

                    Thanks for opening the thread.

These rumors have been around for a long long time. I will update a GN thread that has a lot of these rumors listed soon so this gets added to the list.

Of course GN has always been able to weasel his way out of it or somehow get by. I'm sure the same thing will happen this time, but at least their influence will be damaged by Nekounam's interview and they will have to change the way they have been running things.

I have hopes that things will slowly get better as more and more people come forward.

In fact I think it was the opposite. He made the club and its supporters look like victims of GN and his thuggery.

He did exactly what a professional player should. He remained quiet till the time was right.

He was attacked time and time again in the media by GN and his crew and never said a word other than the time he was on Navad and said he was not happy at SS and would've gone to PAS if it was still around instead.

He has a duty to expose this stuff.

It is every child's dream to grow up some day and play for their favorite team. Neku wanted to play for SS not for QN.

This is a brilliant interview by Nekounam; I know this may come off as being unrelated but I think the fact that Nekounam said these things out in the open hints towards the return of Carlos Queiroz.

For the longest of time, Ghalenoei has been one of the biggest thugs in our football and despite all his 'kesafat kari', very few stood up against him in an open capacity. CQ's outright calls for professional and publicly criticizing of Ghalenoei not only made Ghalenoei look like a fool, it has empowered a wave of players to be able to do so as well. I believe CQ is going to return and that Nekounam will still have a role to play for Team Melli once his international career most likely ends after the Asian Cup. When the Team Melli coach and captain are ready to put the truth out in the open for others to see, it will put enormous pressure on the other end. It will also make other players more comfortable coming out and voicing their opinions without getting shot down by the mafia.

I believe an initiative led by CQ, Nekounam, and Karimi can go a long way in helping us clean up some of the corruption. All three are respected and popular figures that won't cover issues up using vague statements. When they talk, people will listen.
