Dear mods, please make this thread sticky if possible :)

As already mentioned in the PFDCTV Thread, new ideas will be added to our channel and GOAL OF THE MONTH is one of those.

I will use the last months of this year as a kind of "experiment" to see if this new addition really works.
If yes, then next year we will start from the first month and at the end of the year we can even have a "Goal of the YEAR". Also the nominations will be shown on the front page, as well as on our channel, so that everybody can vote, for now only forum members can do that.

سرداران ایران با چیرگی بر کره، دارنده فوتبال ریشه دار و همواره توانمند آسیا آن هم با همه ستارگانش و در ورزشگاه جام جهانی در خاکش، خیز بلندی بسوی قهرمانی آسیا برداشتند. امپراتور نشان داد در پی فتح قاره آسیاست و سردارانش برای اینکار بخوبی اسب خود را زین کرده اند. دو نکته که در بازی مشاهده شد و بهتر است بر آن کار شود، برگشت به
عقب یا پاس به عقب و آن هم در شرایط پیشروی و حمله بسوی دروازه حریف و پشت هجده قدم بود که در چنین حالتی بهتر است شلیک بسوی دروازه در دستور کار قرار گیرد نه پاس به عقب. دیگر اینکه مدافعان بهتر است هنگام حمله و فشار حریف بر دروازه، دستپاچه عمل نکنند و بیهدف توپ را اینسو آنسو دور نکنند یا به اوت نزنند چون با این کار عملا توپ را به حریف میسپارند و فرصت تدارک حمله ای دیگر را به آنها میدهند. دیگر اینکه آنچه در جام جهانی اخیر مشهود بود، گلهایی بود که با شوت از راه دور بثمر رسید. شلیکهایی که اگر مهارت و شهامت آن وجود نداشت، گلهایی به آن زیبایی خلق نمیشد و نتایجی آنچنان رقم نمیخورد

I admit, among all the doom and gloom of our football in the past 4 years, I had never ever seen TM players try and run and bust their butts like they did against Korea.

Put aside the defensive mis-communications and lackluster passing and creativity at times.

I would rather have a team which tries hard and is motivated over a soul-less team any day.

After Edinho, now Januario express his intrest to play for the Iranian NT!

According navad paper, after Edinho's interview, where he expressed his intrest to play for the Iranian national team, now his fellow hamvatan Fabio Januario, has expressed his intrest to play for the Iranian national team.

The future doesn't look too bad after 2 games huh?!

As i am writing this ...

China have finished their game with Paraguay! A very strong south American team, that had a very strong performance in the world cup and almost beat Spain was it not for a penalty miss.

The score is 1-1! that was a team Iran beat 2-0! I'm not saying we are better then Paraguay but the fact we beat china and they didn't shows that our 2-0 victory was a good one, even more so when you see the performance we put in.

Now we have also beaten S.Korea, Agreed, it is a friendly, but still, to beat two of Asia's better teams with a 3 goal deficit, and both away from home without conceding is a very very good start to our preparation for the Asian cup.

We have a nice blend of youth and experience in this team, with a little bit more work, and with a strong and solid foundation we could have a real shot at winning the competition.

I hope we do, i would like to see people lay off the players and tactics and be happy with 2 wins out of 2, no goals conceded and both away from home....

Korea-0-Iran 1 (at Korea) when was the last time that happend? which coach in Iran's history was able to put up a defensive tactic in an away game (to a strong team with double digit legioners) for second half and come out with a clean sheet? Please let bashers step up and speak your piece!

International Friendly Preview: South Korea - Iran
Team Meli look to back-up their recent win over China against one of Asia's form teams.

Let The Good Times Roll

It was a wonderful World Cup for South Korea as they emerged impressively from the group stages and were only knocked out in extra time by an in-form Uruguay in the Round of 16.

They've got an energetic and exciting squad led by Manchester United man Park Ji-Sung on the pitch and coached by Cho Kwang-Rae, who has said recently that he'll be looking to emulate the sort of passing game that inspired Spain to World Cup victory in South Africa.

Certainly Korea boast technical quality and if they can utilize their usual speed and movement on and off the ball under their new boss, then lifting the Asian Cup in January is a distinct possibility.

In the meantime Cho will be experimenting with personnel and tactics in the lead-up to the tournament, with this next friendly against Iran the perfect stage in which do do it, given they too will be fancying themselves to reign in Qatar.

The Koreans have a notable blend of youth and experience, with speedy defender Kim Joo-Young and teenage Ajax striker Suk Hyun-Jun both set to make their international debuts.

Watch out also for 20 year-old midfielder Yoon Bit-Garam, who has been setting the K-League alight with Gyeongnam and scored on his international debut recently.

Ghotbi's Big Moment

Afshin Ghotbi perhaps isn't as popular as he once was with Iran's football fans after failing to steer the side to the 2010 World Cup and the 2011 Asian Cup could be a pivotal moment in his reign: if he manages to end Team Meli's 35-year trophy drought - as he says he will - then recent disappointments will be forgotten.

Iran scored an encouraging 2-0 win awaya gainst China in an international friendly last week but the Koreans are a different animal altogether.

Inded it was South Korea who ended Iran's hopes of qualifying in South Africa, holding Ghotbi's side to a 1-1 draw in Seoul, courtesy of a late and heart-breaking Park Ji-Sung equalizer.

Ghotbi insists revenge isn't on the minds of his players as he looks to fine tune his tactics before January, though he has admitted time is against him, making clashes against such high quality opposition as this all the more important.

Osasuna's Javad Nekounam will be the key man in midfield, where he will be joined by club teammate Masoud Shojaei, who was recently called back to the national team set-up along with clubless but experienced Andranik Teymourian.

جینان � برانکو ایوانکوویچ در بازی ایران � چین یک چشم به میزبان داشت یک چشم به تیم سابقش. او باید بازیکنانش را در تیم ملی چین دنبال می کرد و البته نمی توانست از وسوسه دیدن بازیکنانی که زمان او با پیراهن تیم ملی رشد کرده بودند چشم بپوشد.

" تیم فوق العاده ای بود ایران. من همیشه دوست دارم تیم ایران را تعقیب کنم هرجای دنیا که باشم. تیم ایران خیلی خوب و هماهنگ بازی می کرد".

او بدون درنگ گفت : " حالا باید منتظر بازی بعدی ایران برابر کره جنوبی باشیم".

تیم ملی ایران که موفق شد در چین، میزبان را 2-0 شکست دهد با تیمی که برانکو در دست داشت تغییرات زیادی کرده است. او درباره اینکه کدام بازیکنان را پسندیده بود سراغ شاگردان سابق خود رفت. " نکونام لیدر تیم بود. شجاعی روی نیمکت بود ولی تیموریان در وسط می جنگید و گل اول را هم زد".

" من در جام جهانی 2006 آلمان به شجاعی جوان بازی دادم. او جوان بود و استعداد خوبی برای پیشرفت داشت. تیموریان هم از بازیکنانی بود که علیرغم تجربه کم در جام جهانی خیلی خوب کار کرد".

ولی آیا او بازیکن دیگری هم دیده بود که چشمگیر باشد؟ برانکو مثل همانروزها بازهم از دیدن بازی روی تلویزیون گلایه می کند. " نمی توانم قضاوت دقیقی بکنم. باید بازی را در استادیوم ببینید تا متوجه همه ریزه کاری ها باشید. اما ایران 3-3-4 بازی می کرد و در تمام طول بازی بهتر از حریف بود و کنترل بازی را در دست داشت".

برانکو ایوانکوویچ که اینک با تیم شاندونگ در صدر جدول لیگ چین است همان کسی است که در ایران محافظه کار خوانده می شد. وقتی می پرسم که آیا فکر می کند تیم ملی کنونی از زمان شما تهاجمی تر شده می گوید: " رسانه های ایران من را محافظه کار می خواندند. شاید با این کار می خواستند من را خراب کنند. من مربی دفاعی نبوده و نیستم. دوست دارم تیمم حمله کند. شما به نتایج نگاه کنید. با تیم ملی ایران در 84% بازیها برنده بودیم".

او حالا در جایگاه محکمی ایستاده و حرف می زند. نه فقط بعد از دو قهرمانی با دینامو زاگراب و 28 بازی بدون باختش که فقط برابر وردربرمن در چمپیونز لیگ شکسته شد، بلکه با آمار تیم کنونی اش شاندونگ.

" تیم من امروز با شش امتیاز بالاتر از تیم دوم جدول شانگهای شنهوواست و 12 امتیاز بیشتر از بیجینگ گوان در جای سوم دارد. تیم من با 41 گل زده و با اختلاف زیاد گلزن تر از همه تیم های لیگ بوده. ببینیم آمار و ارقام چه می گوید. این جدول است که می گوید ما چگونه هستیم".

Korean football team manager Cho Kwang-rae will have his second international test in the match against Iran at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, Tuesday.

Equipped with all 14 overseas players, Cho is poised to try his 3-4-3 formation with Bolton Wanderers midfielder Lee Chung-yong as the key player.

Cho has already said that he couldn’t find the right forward and put Park Chu-young of AS Monaco at the top of the attack. Lee is to support him.

“I will use a different pattern of offense using Chung-yong,” Cho said Sunday.

Captain Park Ji-sung of Manchester United will just be put behind them commanding the ground.

Cho’s tactics are based on “Total Football.” Cho asked players to sustain the narrow distance among them to pressure opponents both in the offense and defense.

Cho plans to have all 11 players move together back and forth keeping their normal and intensive formation.

During training sessions at the National Football Center (NFC) in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, the 56-year-old manager instructed players to fill in the space of their teammates when they go too far to participate in offense or defense.

“The boss has emphasized one-touch passing, keeping a narrow distance,” Choi Hyo-jin said.

While the top three players have booked their place, four players — Ki Sung-yueng of Celtic FC, Kim Do-heon of Suwon BlueWings, Yoon Bitgaram of Gyeongnam FC and Kim Jung-woo of Gwangju Sangmu will compete for the two spots in central midfield.

“All four are smart players. They control the game well and maintain a good shape,” Cho said.

“Kim Jung-woo will compete with Kim Do-heon and Ki with Yoon,” Cho mentioned, implying good performances at the World Cup will not guarantee a place as a starter.

Among the four players Ki and Kim Jung-woo inspired fans at the World Cup in South Africa in June.

While veterans Lee Young-pyo of Al-Hilal and Cha du-ri of Celtic FC will be employed as the wide men, Yoon and Ki are likely to start against Iran.

The defense is expected to feature Cho Young-hyung of Al-Rayyan, Lee Jung-soo of Al-Sadd and Kim Young-kwon of FC Tokyo.

“The back line of Korea is always a target for criticism,” Cho said. “With a well organized line I will blow off the anxiety,” added Cho.

The match against the Middle Eastern powerhouse is very important in order to take the title in the upcoming Asian Cup.

Korea has qualified for the last seven World Cups but they haven’t lifted the trophy for the last 50 years at the Asian Cup.

“We are really in a tough situation for not having been a champion in Asia for a long time. If we don’t achieve it, we can’t expect good results in the World Cup,” Cho said.

In the 14th Asian Cup in 2007, Korea finished third.

Meanwhile the manager of the Iranian team, Afshin Ghotbi complimented the Korean athletes and mentioned that he knew a lot about the Korean team and the coaching style of Cho.

“The mentality of the Korean team is much better,” said Ghotbi, who was a former video analyst for Korea in 2002 and a coach in 2006, said Monday.

“Korea is one of best Asian teams. In the friendly against Korea, we can measure our level and test our team before the Asian Cup,” the American coach said.

Ghotbi, who was also a coach for the Suwon BlueWings — one of Korea professional football teams — said he is familiar with Cho’s techniques.

“I have watched Cho’s previous team, Anayang Chitas play,” Ghotbi said.
