Haha, no not the big thing. The Seniors world cup. A relatively modest event but one that we have finally won. Competing nations take on a squad of various ages, consisting of former pro players and many of repute in their countries.

Nope. Fifa doesn't have an official seniors tournament as far as I know.

A few familiar faces from the past. I remember Mehrdad Feyz Arbabi used to play for Vahdat but then moved to Japan for work although no one was sure if he was still playing soccer there (in the J League or lower divissions). I wonder if number 6 is a typo and should be Mehdi Abtahi.

You don't recognise Saadavi, Abtahi, Pazooki or Jalali to name a few? They're some old names there but a few of them should be pretty glaring.

My two uncles are in the team and have attended for a few years. My uncle is the captain holding the cup.

EDIT: apparently that is the 2010 squad but they've been pretty much sending the same team for a few years now so it is probably more or less correct.

I'm pretty sure Germany also sends a team but it is not listed there. Amongst them are notables FELIX MAGATH. MANFRED KALTZ and DIETER BURDENSKI.
