View Full Version : Carlos's Demands Before TM Camp
Looks like Carlos has already made changes to the TM even before the camp.
Carlos has made several demands and threatened that he will leave if the
demands are not met. this includes a swimming pool for TM, a better pitch
at international standards and equipment for the training room.
he demands that the pitch should be exclusively for TM but one days he
notices that some people have rented the pitch and are playing in it.
he gets upset and goes back to his room to pack up. The pitch is
reseeded with a certain type of lawn and he monitors it regularly.
he is still living in hotel but has demanded to move to his house
but IFF has not found the ideal house for him yet.
http://www.khabaronline.ir/news-151665.aspx
also, there are rumors that IFF has not returned his passport yet
and he has problems transferring money to his bank account in Europe.
also, Carlos called marfavi to invite 6 players from Mes to TM camp

True or not, he has every right to demand what is best for TM and the progress of football in Iran.

According to your own source for himself, no mention of TM.
مثلا کروش عادت دارد هر روز صبح ، قبل از هر کاری شنا کند و باید خانه مورد نظرش استخر داشته باشد .

He has demanded pool for TM. if u red the first paragraph, IFF is looking for a pool for TM
he also starts the day by swimming, so IFF is looking for an apartment house
with pool for him and his staff. In Iran, they usually have pools in the basement.

i like the fact the he goes to the pitch and see's how the grass is.. instead of his assistant.. it ust shows that he knows that TM can be really good but it needs good facilities & he's the one to do that. good to see him being so hard on these things and standing his ground.

he is focused, detailed, and uncompromising in quality which shows he knows what he is doing

Swimming pools are great for training. They slow things down and make you fight against the resistance of the water. I've never heard of it being done for soccer, but i know a lot of athletes train in pools. I would think that if you could find a weighted ball, you could work on dribbling and controlling the ball underwater, which is very difficult because your feet and legs are slowed down by the resistance, but then when you get on the pitch, you will be much faster and stronger because the resistance is removed.
Glad to see CQ is being innovative and is pushing for the best for our players.

Queiroz is innovating nothing.
ALL professional football teams use swimming pools for RECOVERY.
Even 2nd division romanian clubs take their players to the pool + sauna for recovery sessions.
By comparison, Iran U-23 which participated in the 2010 Asian Games, in China, DID NOT have access to a swimming pool, even though they played BACK TO BACK games in a span of 10-12 days.
The reason? The pool in the Olympic Village, in China, was a mixed pool, meaning men and women athletes used it togheter.
As a result, the iranian delegation demaned a certain window when only iranian men and women could use the pool, but seperately!
When the organizers refused, our athletes simply gave up on doing recovery.
MIND BLOWING!
This was one of the reasons our U-23 side fell apart physically towards the end of the South Korea game and let in 3 goals in two minutes, losing third place...

6 players from Mes Kerman? I kind of find that hard to believe. I would believe it more if he said 6 players from Foolad, but not Mes. The 6 players I would think he would invite from Mes would be:
1) Keivan Amraei
2) Mehrdad Pouladi
3) Ghasem Dehnavi (Old but I guess experienced)
4) Milad Fakhreddini
5) Pirouz Ghorbani (Old but also experienced)
6) Adel Kolahkaj
..I see him inviting 2 or 3 from the members I mentioned. But I honestly don't see the need to invite 6 straight from Mes..I just don't..

Yes I know pools are used for recovery, but they are also used by track athletes and american football players for resistance training. I don't know if this is used in soccer or not, but even if it already is being used, it's not being used IN IRAN. So it's a good step forward. Stop trying to turn this into something negative.

KA was saying the same thing, he was not negative.
He said how U-23 failed bc they did not do recovery well.

Dude, you can't keep the ball under water, it goes directly up to the surface.
IFF could not finalize Dan Gasper contract since govt did not give him work permit
probably bc he used his american passport to travel to iran. so, he has returned to
portugal and has to stay there for 3 months before returning to iran w/ his portogese passport!!!
so, Carlos may also need a goalie coach meanwhile
