on a serious not: Perpolis had 61% of the votes last time , according to Ferdowsipour - so they lost a big 10% vote !!!

Divide that by the population of Iran and you would get a whopping figure.

We have to keep in mind that Trakhtor deserves a lot of respect for what they have brought to the league, although I am not sure if their fans passion and activism is only football related and I hope it's nothing more. That said, labeling them as the most popular team in Iran is as crazy as saying "soccer" is the most popular sport in the USA lol
