I wasn't able to watch the match unfortunately as I couldn't find a single place on the net that was playing it but I had the match statistics on fox soccer going the whole time.

A tie means Saudi end up in play-off and they would'nt want that.
If North Korea play for tie, there is every chance, it will hand the game over to Saudi.

I'm saddened and tired of Mr. Shojaye's apparent Lack of football smarts, too much of useless calm and just fiddling with the darn ball just to find himself in front of empty goal and nothing in between.

I hope our only active member of exclusive, "Axis club"....., "Evil" that is to step up to the plate and save our rear ends for the old time sake.

or even in this game, although shojaei was involved in the goal , he didnt score it.
in fact his head missed the ball and only the keeper's deflection hit his TORSO and went in!

but the clear example of why shojaei shd NEVER have been used up front is how he wasted a 100000% chance with total brain-freeze that is seen only in retards!
and his numerous bad passes , slow reactions, ... in the first half was only a saw on our nerves!
it is a very SHEEPISH attitude to merely follow what we see at osasuna where he's used as a striker due to LACK OF STRIKERS, like a sheep .. without noting his abilities and capabilities in that post!! :mad:

I'm sure if even borhani was given the nod, we'd be far better off than now ... and perhaps even won the game. and we wouldnt be forced to beg for a weak saudi win!


- Karimi was attracting 2-3 players at times and his mere presence made sure some of our other players were slightly more relieved of pressure. Maybe keeping him in would have ensured this and wouldn’t have allowed such free-roaming midfield and defenders to join in their attacks.

- Reactionary substitution, rather than proactive ones that could have made the difference.
They could have been done far better and timely.

- our left side was almost non-existent . yes, despite the goal coming off the left. Much like shojaei’s lucky torso-hit, we shd not close our eyes to our shortcomings.

- one would think after the first 2-3 shots which troubled the korean keeper, we'd see MORE shots from the team.
but much like our other games, we lost the plot and TM wasnt led properly from the bench!

we also could have used kazemian , who showed he is in pretty good form, against china ... but somehow ghotbi's gutless nature forced him to favor more defensive players in his 18 man line ups.

he also didnt pick all the worthy strikers even in his 41 man list.
instead of the out of form samereh, he could have pick CHAVOSHI or ZAREHI ( rahahan )... thus, opening up his options up front.

this issue goes directly back to ghotbi's picks and attitude
