4. Soon he will be departing to Europe to see the coaches of our players based on EU

5. I like Ali Karimi if he is in good form he'll be invited

6. We should not forget the UAE game

7. The most important thing is too keep the team concentrated

8. Ali Abadi has a surprise for Iranian football (ohh Faack)

9. No need for Ruetemooler

10. If Iran does not qualify I am to be Blamed

according to mehr news he wants 4 friendlies 2 in tehran and 2 in china

China cause their football speed and style is smiliar to N. and S. Korea. (although not as good as them).
With China he can train/prepare his tactics.

I guess the two others will be from middle east

The TIPS thing is good. I am not sure if Karimi and Zandi match the speed component. And the personality thing might also cut off a couple of players.

I agree. if we want to use BOTH of them in the team against NK, it'll be a mistake.

I think KARIMI can be used against NK, and Zandi can be kept back in Iran ( with neku and perhaps a couple of others ) for the UAE game.

Assuming we bring a larger squad and the one against the China NT will be for the main team and the other a lighter training match with many reserves, this could be a good idea after all.

ok. that by itself would be fine.

BUT given the tight schedule and travel involved, it doesnt make sense to drag ALL the players from iran to extreme east of asia, and then, after 3-4 days, drag their arses back to Iran, when their arses will be hauled back to east asia again after 5-6 days!!!!

the players are already fatigued ... as is evident in ACL GAMES and sub-par performances by our teams that are normally capable of far more than that.

why add to this fatigue?

... again, you will be right IF THE CIRCUMSTANCES WERE NORMAL.
but they are NOT.

unfortunately we dont have time, the players are dead tired ( remember WC06 ? ), low morale and ... mixed with fatigue plays havoc with a player.

sadly, ghotbi will have to behave according to this SPECIFIC SITUATION and not take it as a GENERAL situation. and may have to compromise a bit here & there.
no way around it!

The specific situation is also influenced by the general. There is no sense in having dog tired players, but also no sense in having a coach who doesn't know his team or players who don't understand the new system and philosophy.

It's a tradeoff and Ghotbi and his staff must decide what compromise is best.

Obviously they made up their minds and quite likely they have not forgotten about fatigue :).

Iran is scheduled to play North Korea on June 6. The team is fourth in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers in Group Two with six points, behind North and South Korea and Saudi Arabia respectively.

if iran loses in NK , then its over. the NK game it's like the 2nd leg of a playoff game and iran lost the first leg 0-1 at home. its do or die. there is no option to say "ok i will leave this and that player in tehran to rest" etc...

take ALL good players !!!!

I disagree with you doctor doom!
We need all we can for north korea. Zandi is veryyyy useful against teams such as north korea. But yeah we should start atleast one of the friendlies very soon or else we will be pressed for time.
