dude trust me these teams are much much better than any asian team (maybe except the big 4-5) for example en galicia plays michel salgado (REAL MADRID) they mainly consisting of La Liga players, i actually see that positiv, for example colombia plays catalunya too, i wish we would have playxed catalunya they have the most known players out of the spanish autonom regions!!!

don't believe for a sec that no other team wants to play us...this is IFF and Daie's strategy to avoid strong opponents....the same exact tactic Branko used 3 years ago...there are over 200 countries that are members of FIFA...let's say about 100 of them are not worthy opponents and 20 are asian teams that we get to always play against anyways..assume that the top 20 in the world won't play us and don't consider us worthy..That still leaves some 50-60 football teams that with an in advance planning and invitation we could get to play against...yet we always have the execuse that no team wants to play us, or is it more like we don't want to play them?

Can someone tell me please.. we play all our friendlies with our "B" team because more than half of our starters are never available for friendlies.
What good can this bring the team if you practice with one team and then play all your games with a totally different team..

Simply because if it is not FIFA day , then the clubs are not forced to allow them to play for their country.

The Galcian football federation has a special arrangement with the Spanish FA and the clubs which has been mutually respected for a long time. Don't know why , but it is one of the odd things in the football world like the British having 4 teams in FIFA !

This FIFA days is screwing a lot of Asian teams , because normally FIFA days are for official matches leaving very few , if any days , free for friendlies. All the Persian Gulf countries who have legionnaires suffer from the same predicament and usually field weakened teams in friendlies.

Since I am back to Germany for the holidays i cannot but seriously maij you know yourselve planning with TM is "una mierda" as said in spanish!!! I wanted to go to Bilbao on 23rd I was even about to book the flight......thank god i didnt otherwise i would stand their and TM would instead of playing Basque take on Galicia few days later just not worth the money bro.....if they play Catalunya once i will 110% attend!!! But Catalunya will take on Colombia instead :rolleyes:

I know what you are saying. I would be pissed off if my trip plan goes wayward because of cancellation of a match. I do a bit of traveling to watch TM , fortunately , I never had such problem of last minute match cancellation....Yet :D

Playing against other top national teams is usually possible during FIFA days. But as Ekbatan siad no one wants to play us. Or, IFF is too cheep.

No, the problem with FIFA days is that all our official games are held on FIFA days so we cannot get friendly on those days unless we refuse to play our officials, lol.
So i dont know how these claims are true that no team wants to play with us but if even there would be a team we cannot do it on FIFA days...

Yes but many of these teams are 15 or more hours travel from us. So they will not play due to time zone constraints. The actual reason the better teams don't play us is money. If we were to spend the money we could easily invite many good clubs to play TM. Most EU premier clubs are better than any Nat team.

However, I have to agree that there may be an element of fear amongst the IFF and TM coaches. Before WC-1998 TM lost ~6-1 to Inter Milan. The head coach got sacked. This was the same coach that get us qualified. I can't remember his name.

yes his name was Ivich and a great coach he was....had he not been sacked, we would be the number one team in asia for years to come....anyways, I am glad that there are people who see what is really going on here....Money and fear of losing are the most major factors why we avoid big games. Again I said that many times, as a reporter of a major newspaper told me after 2006 WC, branko and IFF were very upset with Ansarifar, CEO of perspolis in those days b/c he brought Bayern to Iran while Branko and the IFF kept saying no team, club or national team will play Iran due to political reasons lol history is pretty much repeating itself, although back in those days it was more obvious and very sad that our national team coach feared losing against big teams in order to secure his spot at the coach and just hope Daie doesn't do the same thing in order to keep his stat high...as we all know, we can't choose our opponents in the world cup or the asian cup, we will pay for this strategy agian.
