View Full Version : I met Nekounam at osasuna hull city match!
I attended the match between osasuna and hull city for the pure reason of meeting nekounam and shojaei.im half iranian and half english and dont live far from hull so i set my heart on meeting nekounam.
i also came to watch hull play leicester to meet hossein kaebi when he was playing for them but never had the chance to meet him.
but i knew for sure that when i go see hull play osasuna i would try my very best to meet them.
i went into the stadium 2 hours before kick-off and watched from the sidelines osasuna training.the players started to runa around the field so took this as my first opportunity.
as the team where running by me i shouted 'NEKOUNAM' 'NEKOUNAM' and he looked at me smiled and put his thumb up to me then as the team ran round the field agian i shouted 'SHOJAEI' and he looked at me and put his thumb up to me aswel :)
as the team where going back to the changing room i shouted 'NEKOUNAM BIA' and he came up to me shoke my hand, signed my ticket and got a photo with him.
i feel sooo lucky and happy to have met nekounam!!!!!

nekounam and shojaei where training together mostly.during the game nekounam was like the leader and he controlled the pace of the game.i honestly mean this and not being bias but osasuna would be lost without javad nekounam.shojaei played well but nothing spectacular but its early days yet.

nekounam is really a nice guy, the average player would've ignored you if you shouted for them to come

Nice pic man! glad to see you like Iranian players that much :)
but I wonder how he accepted to take some pics, maybe his behaviour changes when he is in Spain :whatta:
I have met Nekunam something like 4-5 times, but I have no pics.

No doubt that he is a GREAT player, but how can u be sure about this bahaviour with a single fan-sanpshot ? I mean have u ever seen his behavior toward the others?
I respectfully disagree with the bolded part

He is a nice guy. Have you seen the video where he gives 2 Iranian fans in Glasgow tickets to the UEFA cup match for Osasuna vs Rangers?

you're right my friend, but I have a belief which is : don't judge people's behaviour till you haven't met them personally ( not something like fan meeting for a photo or autograph which doesn't take even 2 minutes, I mean meeting them in the real world)
Football players show themselves the way, in videos/TV interviews that everybody would think : OMG ! "such a nice guy" but it's not true 90% times. for example can you believe that "V.T"( I don't mention his full name ) is possibly the rudest/most impolite guy ever been existed? He looks to be so nice and Mahjoub and he is always nice in videos/TV interviews but he is actually not. and you can't even imagine that what a jerk Mr V.T is.
Regarding Nekunam , I havent met him more than 5 times but from what I have seen from him in these few times I should tell you, I didn't like his behavir toward the others,
I'm not saying Nekunam has a bad temper. he is OK.but just OK. not the angel that some Iranian fans made of him because of his great performance in field.
Usually their behavior toward fans are always nice, because they don't want to lose their fans, but it doesn't mean that they're actually very nice people.

Pooya jan, nobody is doubting your story or your expereince with him. Hell, even after I read your description of his intimate personality, my thoughts regarding him have changed a bit.
But.....I think what Nokhodi, and the others mean, is that Javad Nekounam is a nice and classy guy to his FANS. We are fans, what Shah had, was a fan expereience. A vast majority of us wont ever have the luxury of meeting Nekounam. Whether it be as a fan or on a more personal basis as you did Pooya jan. As some others have said before me, most players will not even respond to a fan calling their name like Javad did. Let alone get fans tickets to a crucial UEFA Cup clash. These are good gestures he does for us fans, and thats very praise worthy.
So for the majority of the fans, like me, who will never meet Javad, it is good to hear that if I ever do, in a non-intimate soccer basis as a fan, that he treats his fans well and responds to their outreach.
There is a very small chance that I, or a majoirty of the people on this forum, will ever meet Javad on a fan basis, but the chances of us meeting him in a non-professional atmosphere as you have are very very small. But harfeto ghabool daram dadash.
Simply, Javad treats his fans well, and thats all we need to know

He is a very nice guy with his fans. Last year, when he came back from his severe injury, he appreciated the encourage from the supporters putting a note on the field so all the stadium could read it. I donīt remember exactly what he said, but it was a special moment.

do you think nekou and shojaei have a chance at a starting spot?
I think Neko will be for sure. The chances of Shojaei depend on the system Cuco Ziganda is using and how are the other players, Juanfran, Plasil, Ezquerro, Font.
