Referee for Iran - Saudi Arabia match

FIFA has appointed the Australian Mark Shields as the referee for the first match of Team Melli against Saudi Arabia in Jeddeh on the 8th September.

His assistants were also named , both from Australia.

Mark shield is a good ref but Aussies are still p1ssed off from 10 years ago . hope he doesnt go against iran.btw this should be in persianfootball forum (aswell)

He's one of the better Asian refs and tends to let more duels go and doesn't whistle that often.

Good to see the Ref is from Australia and hopefully won't get impacted as much by the home field advantage of KSA. Good thing for us.
