I believe if Iran looses the match on Wedensday it,s all over.
A draw is not that great either but still gives TM some hope.
A win will totaly put us in the driver seat given UAE does not win.

No a loss won't mean it's all over but it will be a huge disappointment and an end to any hope of seeing Iran shine in the world cup.

I know 2 teams will advance but remeber WCQ 2002 when the f**king Bahranis raised the Saudi flag after beating us !

There is no way Iran would advnce because these arab brothers will work in eachother's favors.

for now a tie would be an acceptable result in my book..! a loss at the moment could go a long way towards our elimination in this first round of the wc qualifiers..!! considering the fact that the rest of the group consists of all arab teams who would gladly do each other favors in the later games...!!

TM should adopt a highly defensive and counter attacking formation for this tie..!! and maintain the same strategy throughout the game..! unless of course we get scored on ....!

A loss would be a huge disappointment but won't mean that is all over. There will be four other matches left and mathematically Iran will still have chances if Iran wins three of those four matches.

LOOOL if you believe or not, i was checking fifa site and the matches, shedule...and wanted to clear this question for myself, even before now seeing this thread.

I came to the conclusion, that itīs very important to win our next TWO MATCHES:

vs Kuwait, and
home vs. Emirate.

Because, all the other 4 matches will be in June(!) and we will start first at home, vs. emirate, than two away matches (Emirate, than Syria) and have our HOME match at least vs. Kuwait.

I imagine, if we PROBABLY LOSE to Emirate and Syria both away, than we NEED at least NOW two wins. would mean for now 7 points after two matches, and we can decide everything vs. kuwait at home in our last match. and make 10 points i think 10 points is enough to go to next round, but i do not think that we lose vs. emirate and syria BOTH matches away, but fact is, that two matches are ery imporant and within a week! and away!
if we can get two draws, would make us 12 points and DEFINETELY enough to make the next round, even probably as group winner.

we need definetley ONE away victory at least, or three draws away, and win our two home matches, to make 10 points at least. better would be to make 12 or 13 points.

This game on its own is not the end if we lose, but if we don't somehow climb back and go through to round 2, then you can kiss Iranian football goodbye for the next 6 to 8 years again like the 80's and early 90's.

A loss won't be the end to our qualifying campaign but as many mentioned here, if we lose then the chances that the rest of the group gangs up against us is really high. If we tie, then I think we have a good chance of beating UAE at home, bringing the fact that our injured legioners will return to the squad.

A win means almost a qualification. From remaining matches after the match against Kuwait, we have 2 home matches left (6 points) and 2 away matches (2 points), a win against Kuwait means : 1 point + 8 possible points of our remaining 4 matches + 3 points against Kuwait= 12 points. We qualify with 12 points. If we lose then we will only have 9 points and that makes it hard to qualify.

My prediction: Iran will top the group with 12 points.

Go Team Melli Go

I dont want them to go on in this depressed status forever. so they better finish that as soon as possible

And then when we qualify, you will say: Well in some other threads I claimed that there was a good possibility or you say: Well, I am happy that our team qualified. But if you are right then you will scream your lungs out that "I told you, I told you we didn't make it".

See, you have Ahura Mazda, the god of Persia as your logo. Therefore, you know what positive energy and negative energy is. Right? My friend when you release such negative energy over our team, because you want to be right, unintentionally you are praying for your team's disqualification. This will even create more of a negative energy. Now, when you are positive then things change.

To neutralize your released negative energy with such great logo, I have to say that" IRAN WILL MAKE IT TO THE WORLD CUP 100 PERCENT- MARK MY WORDS". For below reasons:

Iran is not playing Portugal or Brazil. The most powerful Iran plays would be Korea that under Ghalenouyi the best they did with us was a tie. We beat them many times.

This goal-drought has always happened to the best teams. Teams in transition between generations suffer that because of their weak organization due to the new players in the team. It will take time to have everyone following the team but it Will eventually happen and the team will find its formation.

It is right that Iran hasn't scored in 6 matches but its defense has also worked very well by conceding a single goal against Bahrain. Now, this doesn't show that a team sucks. It is another proof to my point that the team is suffering from its transitional changes. It doesn't mean our opponents are good. They suck as much as we do because only one of the has been able to win against us and that one with Grass-rolling and with the help of the referee. This shows our defense is able to cover the back. All we have to do is to break the dead luck in the front by finding our right guys. Why we haven't found them? It all goes to IPL and mismanagement of our Football Federation and on to of that Vahid Hashemian's "Taghche Bala" for Team Melli.

Our Team Melli is also suffering from the interference of "Supreme leaders's people and agents" in our Football Federation. Even though some of this has been cut and monitored by FIFA but still the remaining of the interference, Aniabadi exists. Soon, he will be deleted as well and our team can be more stable.

Even though we lost to Bahrain, we witnessed a team play and some organization within this new team They had found their formation and Madanchi will be turning point of our team. Watch. I guarantee that. Mark my words.

For the 1000th, Daei was against the friendly with Bahrain. He is not to blame for that match. IFF should be blamed. Bahrain should be banned from World's Football because they have created a new game " Football while Grass-rolling". So let's put that behind. The scoreline of such games can not be a good indicator of our team's performance.

As I said many times, our best choice was Clemente. Well, because of Aniabadi and IFF we lost that opportunity. We got to support what we have now and at t the same time to do our best to get rid of Aniabadi and Kafashian both. Because they can be influenced by the people in power.

And most important of all, our injured legioners will be added to our squad soon and we can easily beat the shit out of Asian teams and meanwhile they will be Kicking Asian asses, our young guys will find their forms.

In the end, even though our team has been suffering from bad management, our legioners unkindly ignorance of their team and many other factors, we will qualify from this group and then we have a great chance to qualify because even the 3rd team of the group can go for a play -off which means qualification. New Zealand is the easiest opponents for Asians. But mark my word, we will qualify strongly. I am certain about that. With our legioners and full squad, we are the best in Asia.

mark my words

we will NOT make it to the WC.

mate relax.

its not about positive or negative energy.
Its about being realistic or live in a dream world.
Every cell of me wants iran to qualify and even survive group stage and beat a big name.
no doubt about that.

But just being positive and fooling ourselves that iran will definetly make it is just a wish.
I dont bash any1. Dont even bear grudges on IFF although they deserve a hell of beat down!

But watching all recent Games of Iran I clearly say we won't qualify for the very obvious reasons.
Won't point them out now coz we have a gazillion threads about them already.

Before every big event German Federations sets some friendly vs very low teams from europe for Germany National Team like san marino, liechtenstein and so on, just to motivate the team and give them energy. Guess IFF wanted to do same and we lost it.

So where to find positive enegery? Sed Khandan (seyed khandan) or Ebay ?
I don't release negative energy dooste aziz. I am just very sure that Iran won't make it to the WC. And i am very very happy to be proven wrong!

You relax mate. LoL

I know what you are talking about and understand your points. I feel your frustration however, unlike what you say, I did not talk about the dream world. I talked about the fact with 9 reasons of qualifying. And beside those facts, I guarantee you that good energy also will help. Come on, you are telling me that you do not believe in a logo and you use it as your avatar ;) Pulling your legs, I know what you are saying. The facts are always more important and to me the facts are on our side.

You are talking like Iran has to qualify from its group in the world cup. This is preliminary and these teams are not that powerful to become an obstacle to our qualification. This past year was just a hick-up of the strong team. It will pass bro.

However, you have your own opinion and is dear t you. We disagree here. I talk to you after the qualification of our team. :D :eyebrows:
