And you know i have first dibs :eyebrows:... but i prolly wont get my chance because i don't expect him to flop. I have faith in him to help our team bring pride & joy to Iranians everywhere... I re-watched the Jamaica, Iran game last night and Karimi might not dribble as readily as before but his crosses & through passes are amazing.

i notice how you knock karimi a lot...and how you say that he plays beautiful but it doesnt result in anything positive....not this particular post but in general....

are you aware that he has more goals than anyone else on the current roster?

BacheLot

by signing for al soorakhs...
that a way to prove himself....pssssssssssht:rolleyes:
he better deliver at afc...he is still the most talented tm player, relatively injury free and he is coming off a good preparatory season at fcb and tm training...
and playing against opponents, 90% of whom are below his level....!
if he chokes at AFC.... then we can forget about this guy for next wc...considering its all down hill for him in arab leagues afterwards..!

Daei scored a lot of goals too but he didn't become a great player because of that, but rather beacuse he took his responsibility and PLYAED FOR the TM, not for himself but for his team! I do believe this is his last chance, as bachelot said after this we are done with him. we can't afford another loss at the WC level.

aaaahhh the love is in the air. man!! you guys need to be more relaxed, give this guy a chance we still have about 5 days left. show some love not bash the guy just because what he did in the past. i have faith that karimi is gonna make the other opponents piss in their pants, did you see the moves he was making during the friendlies, yea it was easy team or whatever but he was working, him and kia where passing back and forth.

i don't think its player bashing but rather "fans disappointment" at a player who could be (and still has the chance to be) one of iran's greatest players.

my favorite game is iran vs korea from prv asian cup;

Iran - Austalia or Iran vs usa were challenging games to say the least but what iran (karimi) did against S Korea was just amazing but as of now games like that is gradually turning karimi into another azizi....:o

i do agree this is his last chance to proove that he shud be on the team.. if we didnt have shojaei and mobali playing so good then wed be stuck with karimi but we do have other options and come 2010 i wudnt be suprised if karimi is dropped

Yeah, he played for the team but not so much during the last few years. Karimi has always played for the team, I don't know where you got that inkling that he didn't.

the whole article was crap. Its timing leaves little doubt that it is an attack on tm by the media.

Underlahaf.. you're an administrator.. and talking this way about team melli? .. shame on you guys, for bringing such a negative environment. "this is his last chance otherwise we're done with him".. wut are you thinking? You think you gonna "fire" karimi from Team Melli? ..lol... You're going to threat Karimi into playing good again? Listen... just calm down, understand that being a footballer is not as easy as 1-2-3. Some players, go in and out of form for reasons out of their control. You must be more supportive, everybody must be more supportive. Love the fact, that Karimi is serving his country because he loves it. Positivity over negativity, and we will be a very successful team.

LMAO, because he didn't pass the ball when he could have, he didn't play for the team? Do you realise Ali Karimi is an attacking midfielder and one of the most skillful players in the world? The fact that he's scored so many goals AS A MIDFIELDER is more than enough to defend him. But I guess him scoring those goals in the Asian cup and not passing the ball much hurt us right?

Some players dribble a lot, some pass a lot. As long as they're doing it for the team and are helping the team then that's all there is to it. And that means he was playing for the team.

Look at Ali Daei, for example: he couldn't hold the ball up to save his life, yet he scored so many goals. I guess, by the same standard, he wasn't playing for the team, right?

i don't think me being an admin changes anything, i am still entitled to my opinion. as long as i am not insulting and "bashing" i have the right to criticize team melli players. Its MY team and YOUR team and we all cry and smile with it. it's my right as a fan and as an iranian.

and please don't come with the usualy "your negative attitude cost the team XYZ"....a team wins or lose based on its preparedness and not on what i say on persianfootball.com (ageh enghad vazeh team kharbeh keh bekhad ba ghrbooon sadageh / salavat haye ma bebareh va ya bebazeh. behtare jam konim berim)

by the way I hope he proves me wrong, that's the least i can hope as a TM (and karimi) fan

and yes i do know, i am alone on this. you have all gone crazy. :D don quijote vs karimi fans....
karimi is the best player in the world mentality is ruling iranian forums

... Underlahaf jan, with all do respect you post a Ali Karimi Highligh reel and comment on how he doesnt pass? Its an Ali Karimi Highlight reel, showcasing his dribbling ability of course there arent any segments of his passes or assists. I would like you to do me a favor and watch the indemand PFTV iran Jamacia game. Karimi starts out slow and does some really lazy crap, he hardly dribbles and watch his passes & Crosses. when i saw his cross at first i thought it was kia, i had to rewind. I feel that your assesment is overly harsh specifically because if playing at BM did anything for ali it was making him more of a passing AM and less of a dribbler. Karimi is less creative and volatile than he was before BM, BM changed him into a smarter player. look at his assist from the back line....... you do realize that Karimi and all of our other TM players dont have to play for TM, they do it out of their love for their country & their fans, they can easly turn down an invite.

.... your last comment is really disappointing, coming from a person that i respect.... Take a look around this forum, there are 5-6 fans who support karimi including myself. the rest of the members bash him... what mentality are you talking about aziz?....only mentality i see ruling football forums is the unjust, undeserved and consistant criticism of all our TM players, by fans who are intitled to their opinion, but their lack of football knowledge makes their opinions invalid. I see the negative mentality of our football forums and the constant bashing, Kaebi goes to england and people complain about why he joind d.2 rather than premiership.....the mentality is az khod razi.

i'll re-watch iran vs jamaica :)

and i do admit of my lack of football knowledge ( i think 99% of us all are...) but certainly i am not a TM basher, i am just concerned that one players talent is taking the team down...

but i have said what i had to say and you all judge for yourselves, hopefully i am wrong. i hope few weeks down the road, due to karimi's excellence and TM winnig the AC, this thread is bumped and members demand an apology from me :)

but did you see in the last two friendly games how he was dribbling better and chances he brought for us. plus he was passing the ball like left and right. specially a lot to kia which i bet him and kia have been like working together during practice and were testing it out during game. kia and karimi passing back and forth know where each other are at on the field. I'm gonna give him a chance and see what he does at AC if he doesn't perform well then i guess he should be benched, but i'll still have respect for him as player and the talent that he has got but i 100% agree that he most of the time does act like bache naune (or however is spelled lol ) which one of the reasons he could be like way on the top but his attitude is just holding him back. a great athlete in my point of view not only has the talent but the attitude, great personality.

for example Karim Bagheri, Abedzadeh these guys are just WOW! speechless they did a lot for our TM. not only they had the talent but off the field their personality maybe them go to the top even more. big boost and confidence it brings not only to yourself but your teammates. they've got my full respect hands down:bow:

[QUOTE=kaz;736599]Do you realise Ali Karimi is an attacking midfielder and one of the most skillful players in the world? QUOTE]

Hmm, is he? Well, I guess that he is, if u ask people from Iran. Or maybe the coach of Qatar. Come on, be honest now. When Karimi signed for Bayern we all got happy, and I know that a lot of us told all our friends that Karimi is going to prove for all what he/players from Iran can do!

Ok, the guy is good, of course he is good. I do not think that the question is if he is good or not, maybe that is the question for u guys. The important question for me is this, is Karimi today The Karimi he wanted to be? Is this the best Karimi could do, if the answer is yes, then I have overrated him. If, if the answer is no, Karimi did not reach his goals. Or maybe he wants to play in Qatar. That is maybe his dream, shuffling around camels and eating falafel.

I do not want Karimi to prove anything for me, who am I? And Karimi is gone from the football world, soon, maybe 2-3 years. I know what I will remember, and what many other football fans around Europe will remember. The Guy Who Never Made It All The Way. But hey, who cares. He is the one of the most skillful players in the world. He just forgot 2 prove it for the world. :bs:

Karimi with 1 leg is still leagues ahead of any alternative.

That's The Problem With Us Iranian, When A Player Plays Very Good He Is God And When He Plays Bad He Is Gozoo.

U Will See That Karimi Will Pove All U Wrong And Play At The Top!!

Karimi is not going to play with his heart but his pocket...I think he still worried about getting injured and he is still not 100%.....he is going to be play very carefully with no risks in Asian Cups...that's just my opinion...I know alot of u wont agree...
