Hi

When we already know that our games in the Asian Cup is going to be played in Malaysia, where the air is very hot and humid, why not have a TM camp in Shomal? There the players could get accostumed to that type of climate.

I was just wondering!!!!!

Because the longer you stay in hot and humid places the more tired you become. It's not like with dry and thin air that you get used to, at least that's what was said 2001 when Iran was so tired in Bahrain, after they had to stay there longer than initially planned as the match was postponed.

Also they will camp in Thailand and play Cambodia before the AC, right now it's important to get the players into top physical shape and I don't think doing that in hot and humid places would help.

i went travelling in south east asia in my gap year, and you really do get tired. i was walking about, not playing football or anythign strenuous and i was nackered. Seriously climate is a huge factor.

Regarding what has been spoken in 2001, it is pure BS.! Many European teams made their preparations for the WC 2002 in places with aprox. the same climate as Japan and Korea.!!

Ok..I didnīt know about the camp in Thailand!! Yesterday They commented on the TM program in television and the never mentioned the camp in Thailand.!!

Sorry, I didn't mean Thailand but Malaysia. I think they will camp their a few days or a week before AC.

I'm not sure about the hot & humid thing, but it's an interesting aspect.

Any doctors around who know more about this?

I think it's more like a balancing act between getting our intensive fitness work done in a more tolerable environment and then going to KL early enough to get adapted to the climate.
