View Full Version : Korean assistant coach Qotbi: We will defeat Iran.

He believes Iranian team will be defeated for the following reasons. I think he has a good point. Its funny how everyone seems to know the Iranian team better than our own coaches and staff. I have said it many times: as long as Iran continues this path with this poor management from the IFF level to TM itself, we won't go anywhere even with 11 Karimis or Kias or Rezaeis. Don't be surprised if Iran looses to third class teams. And please don't get your hopes too high if we managed to tie or win a game or two. What do you expect from a country that hides behind lies from her president to all her managements at all levels and stages. Its flash back time guys. I feel I have been here 10 years ago when Mostafavi was the head of IFF. For those who know what I'm talking about: do you remember Mostafavi who used to say the same things as he says now?
We have 100 million dollar to give away to Lebanon every year but we don't have a million for the sake of own young people in Iran who love football (about 70 million). We had another stupid Russian plane in Mashhad which got on fire killing 80 people. How sad is this?

wat does he say?
He says that they will beat Iran , b/c :
1- Iran have no descipline(sp?)
2- They only rely on their legioners
3-karimi has been out of shape for 6 months
4- kia and hash are both injured and have back problems
5- Rezaie has not practiced with TM and they are aware of all these things
most importantly the TM is In bad shape due to lack of discipline(sp?)
P.S
irff should have hired afshin qutbi, he knows his stuff and plus he is IRANIAN

He's right about that, as long as IFF runs our football like this, we'll never live up to our potential.
All around the world, teams and players do the unexpected and go above and beyond what they're capable of BUT
its exactly opposite in our country.....We have potential to be great but we UNDERACHIEVE and do worst that what we're capable of :furious: This is a f-ckin joke!

Sad man, really Sad. I am totally disappointed. This is utter selfishness to say Go Korea, cause you have a beef with IFF. Turly sad. I bet you consider yourself a patriot too. I didnt' like Branko Dai etc. but never ever hoped Mexico or Portugual or Angola to beat Iran, to prove my point.
When Karimi kicked the bag when he was changed everyone was like why he did that, and wanted him to put the country above his own personal feeling. Probably you were one of them.
But see now, cause you don't like IFF or coach, u say Go Korea. Hope Iran does well and all the people who are so gloom and doom and saying Korea slmas Iran MUST publicly appologize for this unpatriotic behvaior.

agree, with this situation we will not win tomorrow, i hate to say it, but logic tells me that well organized SK team will steamroll over TM, even if we win, it was not because we prepared ourself, it is because of LUCK!

Sorry to disappoint you, untill a few weeks ago I really believed you guys
about Iranians being the best fans in the world and that no national team
has such great fans as Iran's.
I'm just back from Iran where I went to the Iran-Syria game and I was shocked to see that most people didn't even try to wear clothes with colors of our flag or even bring a little flag inside the stadium. (there are a lot of merchants outside the stadium selling flags for less than $0,30!). Anyways instead of cheering the team, many times people were just screaming bad names to the players and busy with shekastane tokhme. Me and my cousins were cheering the team like 90 min, I had lost my voice after the game heh.
Channel 3 in Iran even showed us with our big flag and one of my cousins was interviewed after the game.
Overall it was disappointing to see the way Iranians cheered for their nt.

Dadash, I don't need to deal with it, how you gonna keep your head up tomorrow after the game. You aare cheering with for the opponent of iran to beat Iran cause you don't like the coach or IFF. If Iran looses 3-0, what you gonna do celebrate? So much for being an Irani and having national pride.

Yeah I forgot to mention that Iranians abroad have more love for their country.
Also in the stadium there were some bandari boys dancing and singing songs for
tm. But like I said, overall the support was kinda disappointing.

Pim Verbeek is not a real coach, but has a plus that he is some 6 years with his Team. The totall change of TM cadre was a bad thing for us.

Granted, Afhsin has made some good points, but I think he is underestimating the team. I think we have a good chance of winning, not because of Ghalenoi, but because the team is basically Branco's World Cup team, a team that played together for a good deal of time and that knows each other well. No matter waht ghlaenoi brings or tries to bring, we will see Branco's handiwork as it is hard to change the tendencies of a team overnight.
If we win, thank Branco!
If we lose, blame Ghalenoi ;)

Thats absolutely right! The team playing tomorrow will have the skeleton of Bran*** team and if we get lucky and win, we do have to thank Branko or the players for that matter eventhough I blame everything on Branko to begin with. But as I said before, a win against Korea or Syria is not going to solve our problems with these loosers taking over the federation. I might have some hopes in teame melli when the new head of IFF is elected but thats not too promising either. Honestly I think appointing GN as the head coach was political and regardless of the outcome, win or loose, he will remain to be Irans head coach. :furious:

a true supporter should support their team in the good times and in bad, no matter how shit they are. a true fan should also criticize their team from time to tme.
