Bolton boss Sam Allardyce is confident Iran international Andranik Teymourian will settle quickly after signing a two-year contract this week.

The deal has been completed after the club obtained a work permit for the 23-year-old, who joins from Iranian side Abu Moslem.

Allardyce said: "From what we have seen in training over the last three or four weeks, he will have a contribution for us in the Premiership this season.

"He is all geared up to show what he can do in England."

Meanwhile, Bolton are reportedly in talks for Paris Saint Germain midfielder Vikash Dhorasoo, while a deal for Zenit full back Pavel Mares has collapsed.

That doesn't sound like he's amazed by Teymourian. I can see him being used as backup to Campo and being given the chance to impress in the last 10 or 20 minutes of games when campo's age catches up with him. He will need to be very good in those few chances that he gets to gain a first team spot while i still have major doubts about his physical attributes, particularly in such a physical league such as the premiership. There are not many small built central midfielders, there are exceptions such as makelele but his footballing brain is in a different class. For example comparing Teymourians physique to some other premiership central midfielders shows he is unique.

i think he will get about 10-15 starts and contribute to 70 % of the matches as a sub, he is basically a replacement for Nakata.

Within the long and gruelling 38 game season that is the premiership (not forgetting the FA Cup, and League Cup) many players suffer injuries or the manager rotates the squad. I suspect that Allardyce has bought Teymourian as a squad player for now, a back-up for Campo and to add some cover for injuries. However, I'm sure that after watching Ando for 3/4 weeks in training, big sam must have seen something he liked and that he can utilise in his team from Ando.

Therefore, I would say we won't see him in the 1st team just yet, but the injury prone/ageing Campo and Speed will give him the opportunity to impress and I'm sure he will take full advantage of it.

Stop being negative and doubting the strength of our players. Its all about mentallity and being humble, which is something most of our players lack but not teymourian. He gives 100% and he's solid, he can definately be as good as the english. Its not really the size of a player, its how you use it. Look @ how kaebi was man handling big ass C. Ronaldo in the WC.

Our youngsters are strong and tall, its just that in iran they dont get conditioned well, but if you take them through proper training, they would improve alot.

Let me list a few for you my friend.
Fabregas, Carrick, Flamini, Makelele, Smith, Fletcher.
All small ppl, as a matter of fact i think Ando would be physically bigger then most of them, so does that solve that issue for you bro???

Is it just me or is everything that you post anti TM or Anti a TM player? I cant remember the last time i read anything positive coming from you. Why do u waste your time and our time by being a member of this forum? You never post anything insightful, U never constructivly critisize Tm, u just bash it and you bash TM players, its like u dont even like TM. Its also wonderful to know that u have doubts about his physique... Apparently Sam Allarcyde doesnt have any problem with his physique.... so i have to wonder who knows more about footy? TAZ or Allarcyde.... I Take Big Sam.

There is a difference between being negative and being realistic, at the moment, Teymourian has been bought as backup and Campo is first choice. I realise size is not crucial but in a league as fast paced and aggressive as the premiership small players very rarely make it as players unless they have world class mental attributes, this is why many south americans struggle in this league since they require space to show their skills and are not comftorble with quick one touch passing and movement. The weather also plays a part in the lack of south americans :D

Indeed it seems Ando is 180cm after checking and i seem to have underestimated his height however still everytime i watch him it seems as though he is under nourished :D

180 i think so yes he's not that short, and i agree with makelele comment, makelele is deceptively strong.

No, I don't just post to bash players and TM, i post so i can get rid of some peoples rose tinted goggles that they see everything through, this forum is overridden with fake optimism and people who seem to think that Iran have an awsome footballing side and players like Karimi are world class. I am a member of this forum to contribute my views and if they are not as cheerful and do not consist of 'OMG KARIMI IS BETTER THAN RONALDINHO BY A MILE' then i am sorry but my views are my views. I don't understand where you got the whole i never post anything insightful from though because i don't just post rubbish without backing it up. You could say every single one of my posts is like a piece of art :D And as Ekbatan pointed out i am not always negative, i stood up for Daei and still do when everyone jumped on the 'DAEI IS A DONKEY KHATIBI/BORHANI/ENAYATI ARE WORLD CLASS' bandwagon and i was also a supporter of Branko. People on these forums need to be more realistic, there are reasons why Karimi is still struggling to break into the Bayern Munich squad even after a full season and let me tell you it's not just because of injuries, he is massively overrated, clearly he is a talented player and i doubt Iran have better however he is not world class.

Oh and how do you know Sam doesn't have a problem with Teymourians physique? He might have a problem with it but might have thought it was worth the risk. Bolton are along ball team who rely on their physical strength to bully other teams, things seem to be changing with the signing of Anelka but i still can't see Teymourian breaking into the bolton first team, Iranians are better off in other leagues, to move to the premiership although i respect him for taking up the challenge was a bad move in my opinion. And of course Sam Allardyce knows more about football then me, but every manager knows more than every supporter andthat also includes Branko knowing more then all of you but that didn't stop all of you saying he is an idiot and he should be playing player x instead of player y, football is a game of opinions, learn to accept others or just don't read them.

EXACTLY!!!

I've been watching the Premiership since I was 8 years old and it's always been an exciting league. When Bagheri signed I was really looking forward to MOTD and seeing him play every week....but unfortunately it didn't work out.

I'm optimistic though that Teymourian will break into the 1st team and we'll get used to seeing our hero every single week! :D

P.S you guys get MOTD in Scotland? shouldn't you be watching the SPL??!!

Man Ando has one thing all these players don't have or have near as much and that is heart. He is like freddie ljunberg, not the best moves not the best control he just works his ass off and u notice it.
