Hi Tom.
I am glad you enjoyed TeamMelli.com.
Andranik Taymoorian (http://www.teammelli.com/Roster/TeymoorianRoster.htm) or Teymoorian is a product of the youth training scheme of Ararat School of football. Like many Iranian/Armenians he started playing his football in Ararat a club dominated by Christian Armenians in suburbs of the Capital City. Throughout the years ,this club has produced many famous players that have represented Iran at International level. Ararat was also a breeding ground for larger and more powerful clubs such as Esteghlal Tehran (Formerly known as Taj ) and Perspolis (Pirouzi) Club.
Since Ararat club , a major football force in the 60's & 70's , was relegated to the lower divisions in the eighties, it faced difficulties in keeping its talented players against the lures of rich clubs. Any good quality player was quickly grabbed by the competition. Edmond Bizik was the last of such player's until one Andarnik Teymoorian came into the scene.
Esteghlal Tehran quickly spotted the talents of this young Armenian and signed him from Ararat. However, with a glut of players in this rich & famous , they opted to loan young Teymoorian to a provincial club in east of Iran called Abo Moslem of Mashahd in 2004.
It did not take Teymoorian long to win a fix spot in the team despite his seniority and young age. He quickly bonded well in the midfield with Mojtaba Jabbari another talented young players , and formed one the most formidable and skilful midfield forces in the whole of the league. Teymoorian darting runs, long accurate passes and tremendous shooting power helped this moderately successful club to challenge the leaders and reach the final of the Cup. With the help of the duo Teymoorian & Jabbari, Abo Moslem completed their best ever season in top flight in 2005.

Teymoorian and Jabbari were hot properties and the talking point of the media and the fans. The U23 team coaches had no hesitation in picking both players for the upcoming tournaments which included the Islamic solidarity games in Jeddah and the West Asian games in Doha, in which Iran reached the semi final but lost on penalties on both occasions , but winning the 3rd rank.
Perhaps it was not a great surprise that Branko Ivankovic included both players in Iran's squad for FIFA World Cup 2006, but the real surprise was when Teymoorian managed to get playing time against a stiff competition of more experienced players available. Credit to his fighting spirit and his dedication to the team.

In my personnel opinion, Teymoorian is presently one of the most talented Iranian players. Many gifted and skilful Iranian players have not reached their peak or full potential due to lack of professional coaching and guidance in addition to the poor quality of league competition in Iran. Teymoorian can be an exception as he has the potential to be an excellent team player in EPL.
His strength lies in his elegance and technique rather than physical power , although Teymoorian is not a player who is afraid to tackle. He reads the game very well and can play multi-roles in the midfield and flanks. He definitely needs conditioning to the fast pace of the EPL which I am sure Bolton coaches will provide.
Like any import from outside Europe , Teymoorian can fail to deliver if he is not used in competitive football or alternatively if he fails not settle well living in England. Long period of the so called bench-warming could just kill the enthusiasm and the talent of this player.

Good luck to Bolton and Kudos to Sam Allardyce for spotting this talented player.

I hope I covered briefly what you need to know about Teymoorian. Do not hesitate to contact me for more info.

I know this isn't really a comment on your website, which i thought was cool by the way. But i wondered if you could help me out. It seems likely that Andranik Taymoorian is about to join my club Bolton Wanderers. I am a columnist for a Bolton Wanderers website and i'm planning on writing an article about the player. As he's abit of an uknown over here in England, i was wondering if you could offer your opinions on the player, how good he is and how well he'll adapt to the English league. These will be included in the article.
Thanks alot.
