if iran keeps the same game-play as it did 1st half...we would not tie portugal but might beat them.

also some of my ppl say iran played baaad (as in good) 1st half and didn see the 2nd ;)

n some of my mamas "friends" (that happen to like me :fear:) have bought the iran plastic wrist falg fingi to show their support and we iranians just effect the players further more due to our emotions.

me for e.g. wanted to go germany with a hammer to meet a.daei's knee jerks in person but now i feel so ashamed of our actions in hilton hotel towards tm players before next game.

The Iran that we saw in the first half, the Iran that plays to their capacity can beat Portugala nd Angola...

I remember about 20 minutes into the match just thinking "Wow, we are soo much better... Mexico has nothing; they're being beaten on 1v1s, they're weaker. We are a much stronger team"

Then the second half started :(

Daei played in the first half, but should have been taken out in the second... Daei's and Karimi were not only factors that that caused us to play bad in the second half... I really dont know what it was, but there's something else, something that makes our players just dumb down after a while...

But if we keep at our potential throught the game, and make a couple of smart subs early in the second half, we can beat anyone...

The 3rd goal has amde it hard for us but even if we do draw versus Portugal and beat Angola than we will most liekly beat Angola by more than one goal and if mexico beat portugal by any score than we are through. I don't think many have calmed down and looked at the standings yet, taking into accoutn how poor portugal and Angola were yesterday the group really isn't that bad. The fact is Mexico are by far the best team in the group judging by yesterdays performances. I think the order that we have played these games hasn't helped for supporters and players morale since if we had played Angola first and own everyone would have been saying we are going to beat Brazil in the final.

Indeed, Osorio had a very solid game while Marquez was in a class of his own on the pitch, at one point he almost seemed to be playing in a free role throughout the whole pitch, that sort of talent is special and underrated, many will look at the Portugal squad and say they have better players like Ronaldo because he can do stepovers :D or Figo because he was once worth £35 mill but the fact is Mexico were organised, they had many options and systems to try and break us with.

They learned much more things, eg: what stronger teams do in 2nd half in a 1-1 game. you like 3 points then we qualify and get trashed by Argentina 6-0, No, we should deserve to win, something in 1st half.
We should learn such a things in WC only, becuase we are facing these teams only once in 4 years.
Mexico game was a great experience, will add to our international experience 100%.
You may ask a question: So why Ivory coast, Turkey, Equador ... are coming to their 1st or 2nd WC and being succesful?
answer: they are facing good teams all the day, Equador faces Brazil and Turkey Faces Italy, but we are in Asian tournoments and facing our traditional openents Japan,Bahrain and ... a day we are sucsessful and a day they....
Maybe we can get enough experience for 2010 or maybe even 2014 to qualify, even maybe we qualify today in 2006 WC.
