England; Bunch of super stars with no outcome. This team has the ability to go far but if they want to play like that, they surly won’t. Some one slap on Lampard, he is asleep, he is one the most dangerous player and hasn’t shown even 10% of his ability.
Finally, Trinidad and Tobago showed what a “TEAM” does mean. They upset the Swedish with being a team. Don’t underestimate them, look at the game again, all of them have tremendous ability on the ball, look how they stop the long ball, some thing 90% of our players can not do, I bet. How chess down the ball, how much they can run, how organize they are. They deserved this tie, they made the “Cinderella” a true story.
Argentina, finally a team with the ability of winning the cup showed up. Too bad for Ivory coast, the best new team in this tournament, should survive in this group which truly called “group of death”. If Iran has any dream to go farther than second round, they should come up as the group winner, who ever become 2nd in “group D” should pack since they are facing to Argentina. They showed business.

Funny thing is, crazy Craig Forrest who's actually a smart guy, said Beckham was man of the match.
The game was absolutely terrible, and I think as long as English media and fans place the sort of hype and pressure they do every year on the team, it will never suceed.
But I think most of the world has known that Beckham is over-rated and is there to draw revenue. His crosses are ok, but they're just average now.
He has been in Real Madrid for 3 years, what has he won? NOTHING!

hajagha jan,
1)i agree with u, england has a bunch of superstars but they arent exactly the best "team". however, first of all, remember that paraguay is a very good south american team who played a closed game and relied a lot on counter attacks! secondly, i think gerrard was the one who needs a slap, he was sleeping. lampard did much better than him! joe cole was also good! owen wasnt that great either. englad reminds me of iran, they have a lot of good players, on paper, people's jaws drop down seeing the players names but when they come on the field, they lack "something"

2)trinidad is a good team and i think the only reason they could handle sweden was because most of their players play in EPL, so they play quite professionally and have good physique and stamina. they were unlucky their one shot hit sweden's post otherwise they would have even won this game!

3)yes, argentina to me too seems the most definite candidate for the worldcup so far, and its a pity a very good team like ivory coast had to be drawn in this group with serbia and netherlands while a team like TOGO had to be drawn with spain, korea and switzerland, all of whom are beatable by ivory coast! however, i think the final 2-1 result was deserving and argentina was the better team (although the statistics contradicts this)

4)hope u enjoy ur stay & take care!

I know I am going on limb here, but unless Ivory Coast is a super duper team (I know they are a good team and admired their guts and effort in the game against Argentina but a great team I doubt), Argentina didn't show much in their game against Ivory Coast.

I know, I know, they won and you may say Argentina had enough and didn't want to risk, but again unless Ivory Coast turns out to be the dark horse of the tournament and this amazing team (and hence mediocer peroformance of Argentina in my opinion), Argentina didn't do well.

Time will show.
