....Way to Go Dejagah, next season with the departure of most of their veterans Dejagahs gonna have to step up, and 07 we're gonna need him to be in form in the Asian Cup.

Dejagah already played for Germany U-21 team. He won't be able to play with TM ever again is what I've heard.

I don't know who has said this, but it has gone in all of your heads and it never got out.......
HE STILL CAN PLAY FOR IRAN, JUST LIKE AISSATI AND AFFELEY CAN PLAY FOR MORROCO, EVENTHOUGH THEY HAVE ALREADY PLAYED IN EC U-23.
SAME GOES FOR MEDJUNANIN

Babak it's correct that he still can play. het klopt;) but this guy doesn't want to play for Iran... that's the problem not the FIFA-rules
Stop all these threads about this guy! Did anyone ever hear him say he wants to play for Iran?? Did anyone ever hear him say in the newspapers that he wants a call from Branko? Do you know if his parents called Branko to see if there were any possibilities?Does anyone know if he loves loobiapolo?

yes he can still decide and change!
Fifa allows that at a certain age they can/must decide which nation

yes, ive herd him say it. 2 years ago he was enthusiastic about it, ISP even did an interview with him where he said he wanted to, and now he still wants to, but says whoever comes to his door first, germany or iran.
Did anyone ever hear him say in the newspapers that he wants a call from Branko?
yes branco mentioned him by name and wanted to invite him during the england camp, BUT the Iranian media freaked out because it was just after Zandi came to Iran and they were scared that TM might get packed with foreigners so feeling the heat, Branco put it off for later
Do you know if his parents called Branko to see if there were any possibilities?
Branco knows about him, and he wants to bring him to Iran after the WC, and yes the inept and incompetant IFF IS actually monitoring him.
Does anyone know if he loves loobiapolo?
i dont know, but he does like snoop doggy dogg

In 2004 upon being called up to Germany's u-19 national team, Dejagah managed to score an impressive 7 goals in 12 international games including a memorable 2 goals against the Netherlands after his team was down 2-0. Apart from playing for Hertha's Bundesliga side, he also plays for Hertha in the regional league in which he has consistenly been the leading scorer since 2005 and as well this season which he has scored 10 goals in 16 games.
Hertha's manager Falko Gòtz has showed continuous faith in him by gradually giving the youngester playing time in the Bundesliga as well as giving him 2 full appearances in the UEFA Cup. In 2006 again he was invited to play for Germany's U-20 and was once again given the coveted number 10 jersey shared by legends in Germany like Franz Beckenbauer. Dejagah has been temporarily banned from playing before for lashing out against referees and other players and has become known for his fiery temper and provocative style.
Asides from hoping to crack the starting line-up of Hertha BSC Berlin, Ashkan Dejagah has also expressed his desire to play for his home country Iran, although no contact has been made from Iran's football federation as of yet.

The key is Dejagah's AGE....he can still play for Iran despite appearing for the German U21 side, provided he decides to play before he turns 21 years old, for that is what FIFA says about switching nationalities the way I have heard. If he is already older than 21 then he wont be allowed by FIFA to play for Iran.
**EDIT** I just found that he is DoB is 5th July 1986 (abt two months younger than me :D) so since he is about a year away from turning 21, he can switch to play for Iran anytime in between. He can be a good replacement for Old Man Daei :eyebrows:

You guys really think Dejageh is going to paly for Iran? Common. We've still got people like Daei, Khatibi and Enayati in our squad. All of which are useless.
Next year Daei will retire (HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!) and enayati hopefully will piss off. Borhani will start with hash, then players like kazemian and mobali, maybe even nikki will get back.
Dejagehs so down the pecking order its untrue,
hoepfully branko will leave tho
