damet garm "dadash behtash",
but still borhani, akbarpour, khatibi, bezik are better than him although they cant even score half of that(6 goals) in 11 matches against IPL defense and GK, but they will somehow score against portugal and mexico and daei wont

Branko said in the PSC interview that he's that Hashemian and Daei are the best strikers Iran has right now. I totaly agree, if you look at Daei's performances to the majority of forwards in recent games you can label him one of the best in the IPL even if he's not the top goal scorer.

Daei is the man, he has something that all those young players that daei bashers talk about dont have: experience.

Daie is also the most experienced TM player in loosing the ball and missing the target. TM is indeed a 10 man team as long as the old and slow Daie is playing.

but still scoring ;)

better than playing with 11 players running around teh field 90 minutes but not scoring :) borhani and akbarpour can run all they want but when they score, they have the right to replace daei.

"unforutnately", football is a game where the scoreline is based on the goals u score, not the amount u run :)

u get 3 points of a game if u sleep 89 minutes and score in the 90 minute rather than run for 90 minutes but never score ;)

P.S. ironically, borhani is known for being the best chance waster and akbarpour has been closing the gap on him by missing almost every chance he has got recently

Daei is better now than how he was one year ago. It's strange because he's slower now.

Daei is in great form as of late, scoring many goals - and that is what counts.

I bet the daei haters we know CANT say anything anymore so they go and create new accounts to keep posting their CRAP on each thread without us knowing who they really are.

I think that all your statistic is based on the low level IPL games. things are different at the international level. Daie is slow, inacurate and unable to win the ball against younger players. It has got to a point that he is embarrassing us. Believe it or not, there is something called the "age factor" which is true for everyone, even for the king Daie.

This is like the weirdest paradox ever!!!

Performance-wise he is usually awful and doesn't contribute much, hell he can't even run these days. However, he always proves his critics wrong and gets the goals when it matters most.

12 goals in 11 games! WOW, Sultan Daei how do you it? (I'm sure he will!)

Daei Bashers, a couple of questions for you......

- If it is ever so easy to score in the IPL, why haven't your idols also scored 12 goals or more in 11 games?!

- If it is so easy to score against Asian teams, why aren't there Japanese, Korean, e.t.c players also on 109 goals?

It has come to my attention that some narrow-minded people here on PFDC assume that glorifying Ali Daei will lead to undermine other talents in Iran. One should realize that admiring Daei is a humble way to respect our beloved Iran that has offered such a great talent to the world of football. (Ali Daei's former school mate)

Daei is a good player.

More importantly he is very experienced.

And finally he is actually a great captain. When he is on the pitch the team plays much better. This is even true in the games that he has been useless! The second he goes off the pitch, the team don't quite play as well.

For now however, congrats to Daei and let's hope his good run will continue into the WC.

very true.....If I was a true TM fan,Id be worried about Daei's retirement and how TM can play in critical situations w/o him....we have to make a good leader of Kia and he definitely has the potentials...but Daei indeed has a presence

Hopefully he keeps scoring for a while...Daie is a true professional player and knows what it takes to score. akbarpour or borhani are 'wanna be's that have some years to go...
