Yesterday, The England manager Eriksson finally decided upon England teams hotel in the World Cup, after looking around the area, Sven picked out the best of the best, in a mini press conference he said something along the line of: " it is very important where a team stays and trains, this is one of the best hotels in Germany with the best facilities and its also the close to most of our Matches, I have ordered a state of the art multimedia centre for each room so the player enjoy their free time, he also added that there is a great spa and a professional golf course near which would be beneficial for the players"
Iran's hotel is in the southern town of Friedrichshafen, its not that close to any of our games really and its the area in which Bird Flu first broke out in Germany. The hotel is not incredible and neither are the football facilities in the town. What do you think about this? how important do you think the team facilities such as accomodation and training ground are? Do you think being at the best hotel has any benefit for the teams performance? please comment.

Thanks for the heads up!
The looks are OK for both locations. The main question is if the TM location would be too out of place as you are referring!

there is NO differenec between close and far. they are gonna have to fly to their games the day before anyways. what difference does it make between 30 minutes and 40 minutes flight?! Plus, germany has agreed to arrange and pay for all transportation of teams during the world cup, anyways. I think they all go with chartered flights. the more important thing is the distance between hotel and airport and ours is only 10 minutes!
the reason branko likes this camp is coz it is away from the big crowd, disturbances and interferences. players can practice in a calm environment and then fly to their destinations the night b4 the game and return to camp right after each game. it works even better than having a camp close to the games.
as for comfort, I am sure what branko has picked is considered luxury by iranian standards.

IRIFF does not have the same budgetary opportunities as the english FA does. It's our 3rd WC, we sould not expect more than this. I think it's very important that the team has the best possible facility during the stay in Germany. Unfortunately it's far away from the stadium and that sucks. I hope it won't have big impact on the players though.

I have been to this area many times for business and it it a beautiful area. I would love to stay close to TM but it is also a very expensive area. Most Germans go to Lake Constance for their summer vacation.

Branko or IFF whoever picked this spot has done a magnificent job. This is a little
nice and quiet area away from fanfare and out of media spotlight and everything else.
It will help team stay focused, practice and be ready for the intense pressure ahead
when the time comes (or so I thought)
Let me ask this, what ACTUAL advantage do you see in Englands hotel over ours?
Also please state the difference in training facility between the two camps so we can be
more objective in our judgment.

It is not supposed to be a honeymoon spot. I think it is a good place to sleep, eat, practice and be comfortable. They better save their money to patch their stadium in Iran.

Merci Kamran jaan.
I don't think it is a great factor for Team Melli unless the living conditions is below standard , which I doubt in this case.
