The guy running with Yahya is Gholam-Reza Enayati

And all 3 keepers are very good and talented, I personally like Vaezi, Roudbarian after him and Ashna has shown some serious high quality potential lately

i dont know much about Vaezi, but as of Ashna, he seems like he has alot of potential to build on. During the game against PP he saved fAJR'S ass

Vaezi used to be a better and more promising goalkeeper when he was younger. He's still good but not as good as before. Roudbarian has been a great goalie in addition to his relative good performance of last season. Ashna is good too but I don't think he'll be a WC passenger

Roudbarian is a very good goal keeper perhaps our best. He is still too inexperienced
though and must learn a few things, here are couple of his bad mistakes:
1-Against Al-Ain he left the box and then had to touch the ball on purpose. His leaving
the box was completely unnecessary and his automatic Red card caused the
Nakisa to take over. Very costly mistake.
2-Against Syria, in penalty shoot-out, there was an arguable call by the ref on a kick
he saved. So the kicker retook the shot. Roudbarian got so upset that he competely
lost it for the rest of the kicks and was almost motionless for all the other kicks. A more experienced goalkeeper would shake it off and proceed like nothing happened and be even more
aggressive as no ref would make two calls like that in a row.

These two instances aside, I have seen some awesome saves by him which in my view
makes him better than Mirzapour, particularly since he can take the first set kick with no
problem :)

I think all his shortcoming can be addressed with more experience and coaching. I hope
he stays healthy.

Tabatabaei is playing for Rah Ahan now. He was a great goalkeeper 5, 6 years ago. Davood Fanaei is Perspolis 3rd goalie after Farshid Karimi & Mohammad Mohammadi. I don't know where Boroomand is...

KHODAAAA SHOKR! This time they called the best 4 iranian goalkeeper man!


I think this are tghe 4 best goalkeeper in Iran, now they are calle for training camp, FINALLY!

Ashna and Roudbarian made very good matches in the last weeks, which was also shown bei IRIB 2 (IPL Matches vs. Esteghlal and Persepolis!!) I´m very satisfied with them, and Vaezi was the best goalkeeper, with the most talent, if he stayed in the goalie instead or mirza from that time mirza becomes our goalkeeper, we would now have a really really good goalkeeper.

They are the best, talebloo, mohammadi, karimi are all behind this 4 and follow on the places 5 until 7 and 8 in my eyes.

Mirzapour aint bad..i mean i really think he is a good goali...
His reflexes and saves are magnificant of course he has some weaknesses but he is still a good goali..

I still wait for the day Iran sends its first goali to Europe...

Btw did you know we have a Half iranian playing in Herveenven II team in Holland
Also a u19 Dutch international if i am correct..

I mean we should look into these players..like every other national team

If mirzapour can work on his corners and decision making, he could be a great goalie in Europe. Think about it: In the WC qualifying games that we NEEDED to win, he was excellent. Less than 1 goal per game average I believe. In his worst games that really triggered the negative attitudes towards him like the QPR and S. Korea game, they were all off corners or deflections. In the Macedonia game, he had one goal allowed where he charged too early, and I cant remember the other one, I think it might have been a deflection. All of these could have been prevented if he was a better decision maker. He is very talented and has excellent reflexes. If he can work on the other things, he can be world class.

Exactly what i am saying..in the areas he is strong he is probably the strongest in Asia..

He is still a very young player..only 26...

But also have in mind he did save us many times with amazing saves..and once in a while the saves he makes in IPL are brilliant..

He have had many many clean sheats in IPL this season...

As you said if he work on the weak areas he will be a good goali

BUT all that said i allways feel safe with Mirzapour in goal..
A huge goali who knows what he is doing..some mistakes once in a while but who doesnt...

I mean Mirzapour have even scored a goal in IPL :rofl: :rofl:

talebloo is the future of iran...he is the best,neither mohammadi, karimi, ashna or even vaezi are close to him..
roudbarian has showed some nice performances lately, but sometimes makes stupid mistakes like against alain or against saipa last week... but i think the 3GKs for Wc2006 should be mirzapour, talebloo & roudbarian!

after all I have seen from roudbarian, I think that he would also be considered as a very good keeper when he played in western europe.

he is just a classy goalkeeper and not only for iranian relations.

Mirzapour is better than a usuall goalkeeper, However he is not better than Abedzadeh.

Branko should give other goal keepers a chance, like Vaezi ...

mirzapour is really bad, he cannot even take his own goalkick. Most of the time he's horrible and sometimes when he has a good hair day or something he plays well. We need a keeper that we can trust on him everytime (ofcourse they can make mistakes, but not such mistakes that mirza makes) ..

If you look back from the Japan game till now, he has made lot's of bad mistakes, and most of the time we loosed due to his horrible mistakes.

He could just at least take his own goalkick after all the experience!

I think that the Goalie position is going to be our achilles in the WC 2006!

Right now we don't have any complete goalkeeper.
The best goalkeeper we ever had, and the only one who was kind of complete was Nasser Hejazi!

Well, a lot of you will perhaps protest and say it was Abedzadeh, but you just have to look at games against USA and Australia in 1998, and then you'll admit that he was a good kepper but not the best we ever had!
Perhaps with a little more luck he would have been playing in Europe but we had the war.Without any doubts he was the most enthusiastic keeper we ever had!

I think Vaezi ist the best keeper on the line, Roudbarian has quite the same qualities!

Ashna makes too much mistakes, and Mirzapour doesn't know how to react while staying in the goal,he'll surely have problems with high balls.

Talebloo has the most potential if he gets a move to Europe!
He is tall and the only goalkeeper who hasn't that much problem, when he gets out of the goal to catch the ball.

Farshid Karimi is reliable but not confident enough, like Mohammadi too!

So we have to make it with Mirzapour and continue hoping that he will be at his best!
