“Change is inevitable”.
That’s what we can always depend on: change.
Especially when things are not working well.
Then, the need for a change is felt even more drastically.
We have been stagnating and at times, even regressing ! even the die hard branko fans don’t dare say our team is complete and faultless.
….. At least MOST of them. You do come across some rogue elements ! ;)
now, we can either force a change in branko’s attitude, or if he is proven too rigid, we can change the man himself.
some may want to put the FEAR of vatani coach into us , to dissuade us from asking for a change.
But I say the fact that IFF was in talks with Hidnick and luxemburgo ( and a few others, I presume ) shows that in case of change of coaches, they wont be filling it with a vatani one anyway.
But lets just indulge the idea that a vatani coach may take over.
Who are the most probable ones?
LOGIC and sense says we have only 2 options:
1- Dr zolfagharnasab
2- Jalali
No … don’t worry, MK is not going to appear anywhere near TM for sometime.
But to play along, lets include his name also. :)
Now, what do we have to lose and gain?
- Mayelikohan:
agreed, he is also – as branko is – one dimensional in tactics and is bereft of variety in strategy. So we don’t gain or lose here.
He is as disciplined as branko.
He may have tried some Islamic stuff before, but I doubt he’d do that this time with WC looming and the media looking so vicious .
But on the up side we know he will play TO our strengths and nature, which is an attacking football.
- Dr. Zolfagharnasab:
he has proven to be a capable coach, one who understands our football, has the respect of all the players no matter where they come from or who they may be.
Lately , he has also, shown he is capable of planning on attacking strategies and scenarios, and he’s not exactly that defensive minded coach many think he is.
The fact that he , also stresses on team discipline does help his case.
- Jalali:
he has proven to be a very good tactician, and a very skillful planner.
Yes, he lacks international experience, which can be remedied by providing him with a good staff and some ppl like mohajerani as technical director to provide the missing ingredient.
Let us not forget branko also had no international experience as a head coach anyway.
He is also a disciplinarian and very progressive.
He might be a stickler for certain rules and principles ( which were the reason for his departure from paas and saba ) , but this is TM and WC, and I know both him and IFF will be ready to compromise on their principles to a common goal.
- Having said all this, I still say on branko’s departure, we are going to hire an international coach and not a vatani.
But bear in mind, with a change in coach, we get another HUGE plus:
All the players , ….. and I mean ALL , will be motivated to either retain their status in the team or those outside would be even more motivated to work themselves into the team.
Which means ALL players , with no exceptions, will be working hard and pushing themselves to perform and show themselves to the new staff.
THIS is one of the major things that’s been missing in branko’s reign.
And THIS will ensure we wont see stupid players , unmotivated, still play fixed in the team.
And we’d see a general elevation of work rate, form and performance all around.
Who can say this is not a good thing for the team?
Coz afterall, it is the TEAM that shd take the priority, not any person, no matter what he has done or who he may be.
