He seems like a good kid and from what i read, he loves Iran and thinks they're the best team in Asia. However, he cannot play for Iran even though he would love to. Read for yourself and state your opinion on him.

here all andranik is doing is making a case for his son to join the tm in case he wasnt invited to us soccer team for world cup.
i have seen him play in the US's MLS league and he is tremendous and very strog physical and solid all around footballer for his size, the best comparison would be wayne roonie and of course with not as much class.
he single handedly beat the kansas city wizards in the final of (MLS CUP 2004).
yet i don't think he is so to say a very proud iranian at all , probably he feels more armenian than iranian.(to be fair it is not a very easy thing to do here in the US, being a proud iranian, i dont consider americans nearly as open minded as europeans in that regard). It seems that he pretty much considers himself an american and he tried very hard to break into a regular spot in the us soccer and i don't think the us coach thinks much of him and he definitly prefers others in his favorite forward position.
i also doubt if he speaks any persian or hangs around many iranian freinds and i also highly doubt if they even converse in persian in their family.
he has ignored calls of many of us iranians at the stands in the mls games and pretend not to hear.
besides the picture of him smoking a fat cigar and chuging big bottle of champain after the mls cup win, is enough to turn off any mullahs in charge of iff in iran.

does he still play for the u.s.a national team?
hE Never got invited so he played for U.S. what was he supposed to do? Wait on stupid IFF so that they might invite him?
zandi waited and so will players with gheyrat like dejagah, alecko is just one of those americanised losers i hate who think they're american and 4get about their iranian culture when they r born sumwhere else.
I was born in USA and ill tell u frankly if i was a good footballer it wud be a cold day in hell when i accept an invitation from the USA national team
