Japan to play Finland in tune-up friendly
Japan will clash with Finland at home in a warm-up friendly for the 2006 World Cup on February 18, informed Japan Football Association (JFA) President Saburo Kawabuchi on Wednesday.

Before this, however, Zico’s men will train at home from January 29 and then fly to the United States for a friendly against the national team on February 10.

Kawabuchi said another home friendly was being planned for March against fellow World Cup qualifiers Ecuador.

Another confirmed friendly is against Germany just before the World Cup on May 30 at Leverkusen.

Japan are in Group F alongside world champions Brazil, Croatia and Australia.
