Iran will play with its u23 Olympic squad with Simonez the Brazilian coach in charge of the team in this first ever tournament...

And the funny thing is that All the others are bringing its A-teams Yani First teams with as many regulars as possible...

This..THIS is a HUGE Test for Simonez...

I am not expecting anything less then qualification from the group and a Trofy back with us to Iran..Our squad is very talented and we should win...

i'm sure they are keeping it as it is now because they have printed the schedule books and they have posted all the games on their site and they are now selling tickets.

but why are these games important? isnt just the actual ASIAN games important and not the western one? i thought qatar was just doing this in preparation for the asian games next year.

instead of bothering with setting up the groups the way they liked,
they could have made it a double elimination tourney. this way, each
team would play at least 2 games and is much better than making 3
incomplete groups!
